Is Victor Claver the best end of the bench guy since Audie Norris?

I think you're right MM. Earl Watson was a decent end of the bench guy but Victor has really good basketball IQ.

I liked Erick Barkley

I think now after seeing him play, Allan Crabbe may have been that guy but we just didn't get to see it. He was bottom of the bench all last season

So do we mean end of the bench active or 15th man that is inactive?

My first thought was the 99-00 or 00-01 teams but it looks like Gary Grant played the least minutes along with the previously mentioned Barkley. But you are talking about 12th man that was active you are talking about Detlef, Rod Strickland or Antonio Harvery.

06-07 Raef or Fred Jones

07-08 Raef, Von Wafer, Josh McRoberts

08-09 Bayless, Diogu, Shavlik Randolph

09-10 Patty, Dante, Pendergraph

10-11 Chris Johnson, Luke Babbit

11-12 Jonny Flynn, Elliott Williams, Hasheem Thabeet

12-13 Freeland, Jefferies, Nolan

13-14 Claver, Watson, Crabbe

Good question. I think Claver could definitely be the best 15th man in the league, if not league history

Wasn't he was a starter last season for Cal.... :dunno:

Crabbe has been under deep cover, waiting for the the right moment to UNLEASH THE CRABBE!!!1!

What a disgusting list... San Antonio raids the end of our bench like it's an all-you-can-eat buffet, then turns those players into... PLAYERS!

I hope to God we can keep Crabbe, to keep Pop from taking him!

Holy shit Fred Jones, best ever

I disagree. Fred Jones didn't stick in the league and was pretty much a bust. Of the 3 Ducks who were drafted, only Ridnour turned out to have an NBA game. Fred just won a slam dunk contest and it was propably the worst slam dunk contest ever.

Sorry no, the best end of bench player in the history of the franchise has to be Shavlik Randolph. That guy had his towel waving down to a science. Not even the legendary Jack Haley could wave a towel like S-Bo. He is to towel waving what Kevin McHale was to low post moves. Don't believe me, look him up on youtube sometime. It's like a towel waving clinic.

But Shavlik was no one trick pony. He had an explosive first step and quick hands. He was always first on his feet, high fiving the other bench players whenever Travis Outlaw postertized Rodney Carney, Brandon Roy made a pull up jumper, or Greg Oden left the game without limping. A real versatile non-player with a complete bench game.

Claver has potential, but he just can't seem to put it together on game night. Wheels has repeatedly mentioned that the other players tell him Vic just kills the towel waving in practice. It's a mental thing. He has the technique down, but seems hesitant and passes up wide open towel waving opportunities under the pressure of game situations. They need to get him off the inactive list so he can rack up some serious DNP-CDs to boost his confidence so his performance in practice can translate to the sidelines during the game. You just know if this guy played for the Spurs, he'd be one of the top five towel wavers in the league. That's an organization that knows how to maximize towel waving potential.

Sorry but if we're going with towel waving we're forgetting about the great Patty Mills.

I didn't forget about Patty, but by the time he had perfected his towel waving technique, he was part the the rotation - more a middle of the bench guy than an end of the bench guy.

I've never seen a sarcastic thread get hijacked into a legitimate discussion before, lol...
