That's just the children... the figures do not include adults.

^^^ pre-surrender

Horrible to read those stats, breaks my heart. The surrender and responsibilty for those deaths is where we disagree.

I think we were responsible for all the deaths up until the surrender. Technically and legally. The ones since, I'd say we have blood on our hands, certainly.

However, the number of deaths and injuries are remarkably low all things considered. I'm not trying to suggest the numbers are "good" or the deaths not a sad thing.

That said, in 1981 and 1982, more US servicemen died (mostly of accidents) on base in the USA than died in the entire Iraq war and occupation.

The Iraq Body Count graph is a perfect illustration of Obama's sense of military and international affairs. He opposed the surge, said it wouldn't work. The blue arrows say he couldn't have been more wrong. He was also wrong about surrender, as the increase in violence coincides with that brilliant decision.

It's really clear the bombing strategy isn't sufficient. ISIS has 30K to 50K soldiers and we'd likely need overwhelming forces to counter that.

I mean, we need to retake cities they now hold and from which they recruit/conscript new soldiers.

The puppet "unity" government that Obama set up in Iraq recently is now begging for US troops to come to their rescue.

We'll see how it plays out, but it should never have come to this.

It's a bit ridiculous to keep referring to them as Isis, what with the beheadings and all. :tsktsk:

Isis, Goddess of health, marriage, and love.

Comfy in your armchair, General? :dunno:
