Can we agree that in some sort of way Lillard is the closest thing to Curry in the NBA?

Given that, nearly every single BIG performance from Lillard in his career came against teams who left him wide open out of the pick&roll, contrariwise every single game in which Lillard struggled was against teams who trapped him out of the pick&roll.

So, after YEARS of playing against Curry and having the reference of his best player as a case to "study" in order to contain him Stotts came up with THE WORST POSSIBLE approach of 'em all.

Guys, we all know the Warriors are better and we are missing Nurkic and so on BUT WE ARE HERE IN THE WC FINALS, we can't take this for granted, WE HAVE TO MAXIMIZE OUR POTENTIAL in order to have no regrets.

This game 1 will give us nightmares, i still can't believe we left the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA wide open at the three point line.

We win in spite of Stotts. Not because of him.

They had no practice and no shoot around. I’m guessing we will see something more resembling basketball in game 2

Nothing at all on Monday? That would seem to be a less than optimal decision.

"I know you are tired guys, so we will go into our biggest battle of the year with no game plan or training." #brilliant

The Blazers were coming off the high of winning Game 7 on the road against Denver, but the win came just two days before, a turnaround so short they didn’t even go back to Portland before flying to the Bay Area, and they did not hold a practice or even a shootaround before tipping off at 6 p.m. Did all of that cause the Blazers to come out flat?

Golden State didn't do anything different then they normally do against us. You play them 4 times in the season the coaches and players know what there going to do.

Listen to this:

McCollum is basically making fun of Stotts.... OMG....

Hmmmm. If the players are finally coming to grips with how poor their coach is, then maybe this will all be worth it in the end?

How did Curry do with a Houston at full strength trapping him? It’s a good response as we are not at full strength and do not have the personnel. We are also very tired from 12 hard fought games previously. Two of our starter/rotation players are weakened by fasting-let take a token “game” of feigned rest and see if we can get the next one.
