Mavs are now 37-40
OKC would be 37-40 if we beat them

If Dame played and we tried to win and won these last three games, we’d be 35-40 with a chance to get to 36-40 tonight with a game remaining against Dallas. As bad as it looked, we weren’t out of it.

I get what we’re doing though.

One day tank, next day regret, next day tank

Like a week ago people were saying they don't want to make the playoffs.

Then this thread...

Please get a grip. It was mathematically possible but it still is. The fact is we weren’t going to make up the 3 games we needed to when we shut down the starters. We have a hard schedule down the stretch. Regretting going into full on tank mode is foolishness at this point. It’s what needed to happen. It was the prudent move and I believe at one point before it went into effect, you were calling for it.

in my opinion, there were 2 veterans on this team that worked really hard every game, that wanted to make the playoffs. Damian Lillard and Josh Hart. One of them got traded at the deadline for Knicks scrubs & a draft pick. The Blazers tried to crawl out of the tank for a bit, but ended up closing the hatch and hammering the gas.

Yes, I support the tank. But if we wanted play-in, we still had a very good chance as I detailed in my very first post. The chances of making the play-in now are much worse.

What benefit would it be for the team to have made the playoffs this year, especially by barely scraping in?

It's not like they would stand a chance at the play-in, and even if they did, it would only mean they'd lose in 4 or 5 games.

Not sure what good that does them.

I agree but if Dame and organization wanted to make play-in, they quit too soon.

and this was important enough to create a new thread...why now?

I swear this was something that was done last year too. Posts for the sake of making posts.
