It's actually a series of steps: set the box, build the fish, twist the top, get the corners, fill the lines, set the code, and the backbreaker.Anyone who wants to look cool will stop right in the middle of the backbreaker (a 23-move step) because the cube will look completely screwed up, but in fact it is not, it's only a few moves from completion. So they'll beat it in like 11 moves and wow everyone.By the way, those seven steps are the ones the people who compete use. They just do it quicker than me. The guy who taught me's personal best is 42 seconds (I saw him do it). There are some people, like at the CIT Cube Competition who could beat 3 cubes in 1 minute (that' s 1 cube per 20 seconds 3 times in a row).BUT! There are cheaters in the Cube world. They use performance enhancers just like at any other compeition. They'll shoot WD40, grease, et into the cubes so that they won't stick and you can turn quicker. See, not even Cubing is uneffected by Barry Bonds...
