7 games over .500 for the first time this season.

5 game win streak (longest in the league right now).

Roy and Camby coming back soon.

Team is showing they are cabable of winning when key players struggle, someone is there to step up.

Schedule is a little more favorable moving forward. (team doesnt have to travel until March 2nd).

6th playoff seed right now... chance at moving up to the 5th seed tomorrow.

Team chemistry seems to be great.

Fuck the All Star Game... LaMarcus needs the rest.

LaMarcus - Most Improved Player Award? He at least should be a canidate.

W.Matthews is showing he's a far better player than most of us ever thought he'd be... and he's still young and will only get better.

P.Mills is having a far better season than any of us expected.

Anything else? :ghoti:

So many of us always focus on the bad and forget about all the positive things this team is showing us.

Need a post like this. Because you know the very next loss it will be Andre this and Nate that . . . all of it being negative.

Today, I don't think there are many that can be negative on the Blazers . . . board full of happy Blazer fans, it's a great day to be a poster on ripcitytwo. :D

Cunningham is showing big improvements. Forgive me if I'm letting his performance last night get in my head a little.

EVERY day is a great day to be a Blazer fan!

Well, on a negative personal note for BeerBoy, no more road trips for the Blazers (and HCP) for the rest of this month...which will put a bit of crimp in his love life. ;)

Hell ya..... got some on the late night....... got home from the airport...... rolled he over. I whispered in Mrs. HCP's ear, "C'Mon baby, I promise you won't feel a thing!"

The improved offense and defense of the Blazers, and the way the team is playing more as a unit than 4 guys supporting a star, has occurred BECAUSE of the absence of Roy and Camby, not in spite of it.

Their return will take minutes away from the players who have stepped up our defense, will decrease tempo, player movement, and take the ball out of Aldridge's hands.

I'd like us to build around the 6 and 1/2 players in the current rotation, and trade everyone who is injured.

And she didn't.

Dante's Inferno!

I can't believe they use the nickname "DC". Aside from being unimaginative, DC does have, shall we say, another meaning? Fine with me, but I don't know about Dante ... is DC DC?

And here is such an obvious, unique, clearly understood and even cultured nickname just begging to be used.

Yea I thought the same. Completely ridiculous they don't call him the inferno.

Maybe they're on the same page, I mean, DC could be short for "Divine Comedy".

Roy, perhaps. But any suggestion that Camby's return will detract from defense, movement and/or Aldridge is simply ridiculous.

Aldridge's improved play is the biggest positive, but I'll add...

Andre Miller having a very solid season at the age of 34 with his PER of 18.8 and AST% of 38.1 both above his career averages. He fits very well with the current starting unit and does a great job getting the ball to Aldridge in the post and on the pick-n-pop.

Rudy Fernandez has been playing better recently and has pulled his once horrible single digit PER all the way up to a very respectable (for a bench player) 14.3.

I think it's premature to comment on Roy's impact - positive or negative, until we see him play and see how Nate intends to use him.

Agree 100% on Camby. He was starting and playing big minutes with Aldridge before his injury and they fit well together. Camby is great at making that high-low entry pass and gets Aldridge a lot of easy baskets. Camby's AST% of 12.2 is the second highest of our entire starting 5. His passing will improve the team's play. His help defense and rebounding are also big plusses that will supplement, not detract from, Aldridge's affectiveness. It's not like Camby is a ballhog that's going to take shots away from Aldridge.

Freudian slip?

These Blazers have really surprised me. Love the way they are playing. Keep it going, guys!!!!

Yet you'll still never beat the Lakers in a 7 game series.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics - Now, look at that PER list, the one where LeBron (the #1 player for PER) is a 26.57. Now, think about LMA's play since December 5th: a few bad games, a lot of good games, and some great games. LMA's PER since 12/5 is 28.0; his PER since 12/15 is better, but I don't have a good number to start with.

LaMonster might be the best player in the NBA right now.
