Release it on dvd and drop them on North Korea by the thousands...no wait, they don't have dvd technology there yet. If Sony would have gone through Dennis Rodman, all of this could have been avoided

They're putting it on Crackle, apparently.

Interesting.

Hollywood has never made a great movie about North Korea, and now it’s uncertain whether it ever will. It was close, though. Unlike the mediocre Rogen/Franco comedy at the center of this hurricane, Pyongyang, the planned film adaptation of cartoonist Guy Delisle’s nonfiction comic book Pyongyang: A Journey in North Korea, could have been a work of art. But now it’s lost to us forever.

Director Gore Verbinski was helming the project, and Steve Conrad had written the screenplay. New Regency was producing it. It was to star Steve Carell as an unusual protagonist based on Delisle: an animator visiting one of North Korea’s little-discussed animation studios.

Kinda genius, they should get a solid bump from the Sarah Palin murrica crowd

This whole thing is ridiculous. Imagine if they do release this movie, it will have gone from garnering borderline interest to world wide fame. You cant buy this type of hype.
Sure you can. Just pay someone to pretend to hack your system and then make phony public threats.

You Can Stream The Interview Right Now, Here's How

Earlier today, Sony announced that YouTube, Google Play, and Xbox Video would be streaming the film for $6 or for $15 to own starting at 1pm EST.

If you have other things to do on Christmas Eve and Christmas than watching Kim Jong-Un's head explode, you also might be able to catch it on Netflix a few days later, according to Variety.

Edit: Oops, didn't see a similar thing was posted.

Good move by Sony. I bet they end up breaking records with this release now.

Interesting. So what are the hackers gonna do about it? Will they go through with their threat and release some confidential info?

Just finished watching it. Way funnier than I thought it would be.

8/10

I saw it last night. Pleasantly surprised me. Not Oscar worthy or anything but definitely not the worst movie I have seen lately. I say 7 out of 10.

I selfishly wish movies would go straight to on-demand like this but I think they would have done even better capitalizing on the controversy if they released it in the theater. Right now people are torrenting it instead of paying.

People would torrent it anyway but I'll be interested to see the $$$ numbers if they release them
