Stotts is growing as a coach just like the team is growing. We have good pieces in place, just exceeded expectations. This is absolutely the wrong time for a big shake up, this is a time many here don't remember, its fine tune time.
I like Terry, and I don't think he's a bad coach by any means, but I don't think he's the guy to get us a championship. I've felt that way the moment we hired him. He's not a bad coach, but I don't think he's ever going to be on the same level as Pop. Of course, there's very few coaches on his level.
No you wouldn't. Fast forward to 2014. Adelman and Dunleavy haven't been relevant in years, neither has George Karl. As the NBA evolves coaches sometimes fade from being successful. Often coaches look great because they have great players, Spoelstra is one, Doc Rivers another, probably even Carlisle fits that mold. The number of couches that are flat out superstuds is very small... Very very small. Pops is one, Sloan another and maybe Phil Jackson, but he might fall into the category of hard to lose having so much talent.
Anyone out there not named Thibs is a waste of time.
Not seeing any upgrades over Stotts other than Thibs.
What would it take financially to force Chicago's cheap owner to let Thibs bolt?
I love the guy. I'm not sure if he's the "guy" for a championship run.
What say you?
