Zombie Ivory Coast cocoa bean farmers taste chocolate for the first time

I thought it was bumped to show that now, 17 years later, Ivory Coast farmers are toothless, obese and suffering from diabetes.....all thanks to a massive chocolate addiction from 2004!

You know reading these old post makes me realize that I can be an asshole.

Okay, I already know that but I just don't like to be reminded of it.

Well, at least this old thread will serve as a monument to your asshole-ry that will likely outlast all of us and will be a source of amusement to future anthropologists as the sift through the dregs of our digital conversations.

Whites are addicted to it? RASIST!
I love some forms of chocolate like fudge, chocolate butter cream frosting and pretty near any chocolate paired with nuts. Other chocolate such as chocolate chip cookies, unless they contain nuts, I don't care for. And while including forms that I like, let's add hot chocolate. Don't like chocolate ice cream of fudgecycles.

Why sugar coat it?

Lots of that going on in poor countries. VN has some of the best seafood, but other than fish, people hardly eat seafood.

One of my childhood friends never had a lobster until I took him out to a fancy restaurant. The lobster was $25, which would have been nearly half of his monthly salary.
25 bucks for a lobster? That's pretty cheap for these parts. However, I don't eat farm raised shellfish from S.E. Asia.

I used to live near that area and know this farm well. I'm not a sweet tooth person so I would hardly be able to tell how good their chocolate taste.

I do drink coffee made from monkeys poops (they eat coffee beans then poop it out), though. Not the same, but whatever.
I don't eat know stinkin' coffee from monkey poop. I drink coffee from Columbia.

Manure makes the world go round my friend.
In the garden great. I'll eat stuff in the garden formed from it. Okay, I'm a little weird, deal with it.

That's awesome! Really wanna go there. Dark chocolate so it aint sweet but damn good.
love semi sweet and bitter sweet dark chocolate eaten with a bag of my favorite mixed nuts.

If you ever go, hit me up. I'll likely be back there when my baby is old enough to travel.

That area has the poop coffee I was talking about. If you're a coffee drinker, you've got to try it!
I love Boyd's coffee made right here in Portland, Oregon ever since I was a very small child, probably before that.
