But think about it.

Jackson may need a new home. The New Jersey Nets may want a new coach. Do the math.

Even if new has nothing to do with it. Jackson used to play for the Nets, used to be an assistant coach for the Nets and used to be a television analyst for the Nets. It's part of the appeal. Around the Meadowlands, it's more than part.</div>

I doubt it , if Phil doesnt coach the Lakers next year then he going to retire.Phil wants his 10th chip, that championship to break red/phil record of 9 chips. The only way he gets a legit shot at that is by staying in the west with the lakers. He isnt coming to the east even if its to coach the Nets, championship dreams in the east are extremely slim in the opinions of many. Lawerance Franks will be the Nets coach next unless something stupid happens like them losing in the 1st round.

I also doubt it. Henacy said everything off the top of my head.

Don't see that happening, unless you have at least 2 players who is part of the hall fame he isn't interested in coaching you.

Nope dont see it happening, I see Lawrence Frank being there awhile.

Wow, Phil Jackson has 9 chips.... I always thought he only won 8, 6 with the bulls and 2 with the lakers, where and when did he get the ninth?

He has 3 chips with the lakers:
2000(beat the Pacers in 6)
2001(beat the sixers in 5)
2002(beat the Nets in 4)

I hope that help you remember where his other chip came from.

I would prefer Frank to be next year's coach. I have nothing against Phil, but there's no chance that he'll be in NJ. So they better have a mindset that Frank will be coaching them next season.
