JAKE LAYMAN!

And Layman's 101.8 PTS/100 possessions is the 5th highest in NBA history.

Again trailing the legendary DeAndre Liggins, and former NBA champion Chuck Nevitt.

To Layman's credit, his 8 minutes is the largest sample size of all players to average > 100 PTS/100 possessions.

Take that DeAndre Liggins and Chuck Nevit with your piddly 1 minute heroics! Jake Layman is 8x the player you'll ever be!

Funny stuff. keep going. lol. Lets see if he can manage a couple more threes in garbage time when we take to the grizz tonight.
He should just retire now as the greatest shooter ever. LOL.

Hey terry, it's time to give him a legit chance. You give layman the looks Aminu gets and he'll kill teams. He's got potential on defense as well. He held his own against Jamal Crawford tonight. You can tell he's got a good bball iq as well. Always under control and doesn't do dumb ass stupid shit.

At this point he must be fucking up in practice or something. Honestly there's no reason why this dude ain't playing more

He's got the goods. You either have the skill set or you don't. This kid does.... Only thing I've heard from Terps fans is he lacks motivation. But no reason he shouldn't be getting time.

With Aminu out, it's a perfect opportunity for more playing time. Kings start Cousins and Koufus so not sure I'd start him Friday but if Aminus absence extends beyond that, I wouldn't hesitate.

Will Stotts play Layman when so many in front of him were given huge contracts?

I had to watch the game on the clippers feed, and once again the announcers proved idiots over and over again. man they are horrible. nail in the coffin for the night was right after that layman 3, they mentioned how that was his first points in the NBA....:rolleyes3:

Oh god they are hands down the worst. They mentioned how Portland has to have lillard or McCollum on the court at all times because they can't go 10 deep in their bench like the clippers. Yeah, I wish we had someone as good as Raymond Felton sitting on our bench.

$, that's why

You could make that argument later in the season, but the guys ahead of layman are proven players that for now are going through nothing more than a slump/adjustment to a new team. Now that doesn't mean Layman can't find minutes, but you also want the Turners and Crabbes to find themselves.

The guy that Layman could eventually make expandable is Crabbe. Crabbe has more value around the league than our other "tradeable" pieces and could be the key to someone like Noel.

But we have to find out if Layman is legit first. I think he is, but he hasn't played any important minutes yet.

I think one of the more important goals of the season is to get ET to play consistently well.... and it looks like it's going to take a complete season to get that done :(

So, not a lot of PT for Layman.

As depressing as this season has been for me, if Vonleh improves a little more and Layman improves a lot more, then we'll actually have bigs who can shoot in the rotation. #wouldbenice

There's only one player who is adjusting to a new team, otherwise our entire rotation has been together for a year or more. At some point you have to reward the players who are getting it done, and cut minutes from the players who aren't. Notice I said "cut minutes", not bench, because, yes, it's vital that Turner/Crabbe/Davis/Aminu get their shit together so they have some trade value.

Honestly, the only thing that makes sense to me is that we don't want to trade Jake, and if we keep playing him teams will insist that we include him in a trade.

very true
at this point we need that tossed in guy on a trade to be project pat not layman

Man, our own PBP guy has called Dame, CJ. And vice versa.

On multiple occasions.

Stotts could careless about who is making more. Neither does Neil. Neil drafted the guy and paid the other players. So he gets phrase or criticism either way.

Layman has played in two blowout games. Let's calm the fuck down

True...but performed well in the minutes given. He was playing because outside of Dame and CJ, the starters weren't playing well in the minutes given.

Better to play well for sure, but Fabio's stats looked good also, and he is less than good
