Screw the Heisman he should be suspended the rest of the year and this needs to bring some heat down on both the police and the school. Accepting money and gifts is one thing, pretty much raping someone is completely different and should warrent harsh punishment. It doesn't stop there and if its true she was "encouraged" to not pursue the case because it involved a soon to be star football player by those handling the case, then suspensions and investigation pending termination for the officers handling the case should also happen.

What's weird to me is that the claim is out there that the DNA from the semen in her panties match Winston, yet Winston hasn't been even been talked to by law enforcement about this accusation.

How was Winston's DNA already in the system? Was it already in the system? Is Dexter somehow involved?

These type of articles get updated pretty regularly, might not have been in there originally.

I have a feeling its gonna come out that she was a regular recepticle for the whole teams seminole spear, and will get shamed with that whether she was raped or not. Sad really.

I was wondering how a then 19 year-old had DNA in a police database. I didn't see that he had volunteered DNA when I first read it.

Oh, what a wonderful serial rapist hypothesis I was concocting in my insomnia addled mind. The movie would be Quentin Tarantino meets Stanley Kubrick.

That may be true... but it sure comes off as a threat, and their lack of proceeding with the investigation even with DNA evidence looks bad. Anyone else gets accused of rape, and there is DNA evidence, they are probably going to get arrested and ask questions later.

Its a big deal because she said she was raped... Not sure where you are going with this

Its possible she is lying, and its possible she isn't, as more details emerge it might become more clear I guess

Nope, the lawyer said it was consensual, so it must have been!

Somewhere, there was a report that the police looking for someone who was 5'9 to 5'11. Other than that (not sure who gave the height), everything so far has looked bad for Winston and the police down there. That said, we won't know for sure until some of the evidence comes out.

...it's messed up because they didn't interview Winston and his roommate (alleged eye witness) when the report was filed LAST year, now they have all the time in the world to get their story straight. And in the 2014 NFL draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select...Jameis Winston, QB from Florida State!

She went in immediately for a rape kit. She didn't wait days. The police were notified immediately. She didn't name him at first, because she didn't know who he was.

If it's just her word against his, that pretty much does wrap up the case.

Unless there is more evidence to come.

The hardest evidence to find in most rape cases is already proven, and not even denied by Winston.

How do you think rapists are convicted? By them saying "yeah, I did it"?

Regardless of how this plays out, I'd bet that this season we'll see a "Ripped front he headlines" Law and Order SVU.

I don't think they should be convicted by DNA proving they were there and one persons word. Not enough, IMO.
 
but he already admits to banging her so why is his dna in her panties any sort of revelation?
