This is ridiculous. I think the league should suspend him. This is an intentional attempt to circumvent the rules and get an extra timeout. Also, funny that during this "timeout" Steve Blake is in the Nets huddle looking at the play that is being drawn up.

Kidd had been around long enough to know he had zero chance of getting away with that. Hell, you wouldn't get away with something like that in a middle school game, let alone the NBA.

Based on his completely disingenuous comments after the game, I think he was begging the league to suspend him. Thankfully, someone in the league office saw through his ruse and realized a suspension would be a reward and not a punishment. The real punishment is forcing him to sit on the bench night after night, watching his $100 million roster woefully underachieve and being completely powerless to do anything about it.

I think it has less to do with the size of his marbles, and more to do with the size of his wallet. It just goes to show you how desperate that Kidd is for a win.
