Some posts don't need responses.

I am glad we are taking advantage of teams when players go down.

That statement right there doesn't say we can't beat them, should beat them, wouldn't have beat them. It says I am glad we are taking advantage of teams when players go down.

Me too. I'm also glad we could beat them at full strength too. I'm glad OKC can't say they beat us this season.

So, you posted something, and then didn't want anyone to reply to it, even though the Blazers already beat OKC while OKC has their full team? Or were you just making a comment, kind of like a random thought, and just wanted to share it with everyone without anyone commenting on it? Your grievances get confusing. Perhaps you can post the rules of responding to you in your signature?

I never said he couldn't or shouldn't.

My statement was just that, a statement. It IS great to see the team beat teams when they are down.

Us beating OKC when they were healthy has zero to do with this. Had we lost to OKC at home or had we not played them yet, I would have made the same statement because they have nothing to do with one another

So what is up with the Jason Quick hate? Can someone explain it beyond just insults? I think he's a good writer, and I enjoyed his podcasts. Is it because of the negative press he gave the team during the "jailblazer" era?
 
I get where some people don't appreciate his sometimes 'stir the pot' approach or the way he seems to inject himself into many stories. However, some of the best stuff I've read on the Blazers in years was the "Behind the Scenes" series he did for a while on the team.

You get the feeling that is what he really likes to do because those were excellent pieces of journalism with tremendous depth and insight, well written and you came away wanting more.

Just trying to be balanced.

My biggest problem with quick is mainly how he tried stirring the pot. He was like mixum for Portland sports. I got the feeling he hates the team, doesn't want to have relationships with the players, even publicly writes that he feels this way.

He is only concerned with hits, but goes about it in a way that disrupts the team. Usually playing "hyperbole" to perfection.

Example:

Quick asks Aldridge, "hey why you wanting to break out of your lease?" Aldridge replies, "just what normal people do". He hounds Aldridge so much that Aldridge screams "this is what I hate about this place"

Quick then runs an article that says "Aldridge hates Portland and most likely wants to leave"
