Jason Quick on the BFT

This GM search reminds me of my pursuit of a roofer. I've received recommendations from distributors, manufacturers and experts in the field. These people come to my house and each time I say, "This guy has the right resume, I've seen his work and I'll probably hire him." And 21 times I have been left disappointed. There's something about each roofer that makes me reticent to hire them, be it a recommendation, something obvious they didn't see on my roof, their attitude, whatever.

I think our management team is discovering the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence.

Canzano is so full of shit on LeBron James. He's cracking on James for not showing up for the Boston series. James averaged 27/9/7 in that series and had one bad game. His teammates flat out sucked against Boston.

Kobe Bryant goes 5 for 25 in a Game 7, his support cast carries him, and Bryant is lauded as some sort of clutch hero.

The LeBron haters can't have it both ways. Cracking on him when he can't drag a team of slugs across the finish line, and cracking on him because he makes a decision to go to a situation where he doesn't have to carry an entire team (and franchise) on his knees, er, back.

Well the whole Cleveland team quit. Not just Lebron. But when you are a leader, you aren't supposed to quit. He quit. I distinctly remember watching the game with 2 of my friends and us discussing at the 2 minute mark left in the final game that it looked like Cleveland had quit. They weren't down by much, but they totally let off the gas petal.

Way to take my quote out of context *edited*. Read this part: He had a pretty bad series for him.

'Poeple like me?" Go fuck yourself. I'm not trying to 'kill' Lebron at all. I couldn't care less about him in truth. If I would have analyzed his playoff numbers and he had performed relatively well compared to his obvious skill...I would have posted that too. I have absolutely zero interest in him doing well or not well. For the record, I believe he's a better basketball player than Michael Jordan. But the fact of the matter is: Lebron played poorly against Boston relative to his skill.

Kobe Bryant's "MVP" numbers against Boston pale in comparison to what James did, yet Bryant is lauded, and James "quit" and under-performed.
