All the national and local guys do that. Woj and Shams will break something and then they will "confirm" with their sources that it's the truth. Look at Chris Haynes too. He was the local guy, now an ESPN guy who has gotten some big scoops, good sources. He also covers this team better than Jason Quick when it comes to scoops. Marc Stein had that info on Stotts hours after the game meanwhile quick is out here slamming CJ for being "on the border of cheap and dirty". Uhhhh what the fuck? no he hasn't.
