Jazz @ Blazers - GAME THREAD

I don't know what it is about the defense, but they tend to leave the guy that is absolutely on fire WIIIIIDE open i.e. Jason Richardson in the playoffs and CJ Miles.

I really wish Portland could land a SG that is actually a good 3pt shooter. If their only job is to sit back and take wide open 3s, get someone who is actually a GOOD shooter and not mediocre. I actually miss Blake...he was a much better shooter than Rudy. Another great pick up would be Mo Williams.

Mo doesn't play D - Nate would kill him.

CJ Miles was obviously the difference in the game. When a team winds up shooting 52% on three-pointers - and takes a ton of them - you're in serious trouble. The Blazers left him open a couple of times, but he made some shots that were like five feet past the three-point line. He just got red hot, and the Jazz, to their credit, kept going to him.

The Blazers certainly could have executed better on offense, but so long as the Jazz were making shots and able to settle back into a half-court defense, the Blazers struggled. The Jazz are a good defensive team, and knew enough to get physical with LaMarcus Aldridge, trap Andre Miller, and make guys like Nicolas Batum and Wesley Matthews beat them in the 4th (which they knew, they probably couldn't do).

The Blazers have a significant void to fill without Brandon Roy and I'm not sure how they'll do it.

We're so used to chucking it to Roy in the 4th, we didn't know what to do with it in the end.

We'll adjust.

I'm so used to watching Roy having the ball stripped away from him 3 or 4 times late in the 4th quarter.

Fire Nate. His job security is perplexing. He can snap defeat from the jaws of victory like none other.

Found this old picture of LMA/Milsap, talk about 'mouse in the house'!

I would love it if our team would stop going 1 on 1 so much in the forth.

GM from Seattle, owner from Seattle, owners company that has a lot to say about the team from Seattle.....I am not sure why it's so perplexing the Mr Sonic has job security?
