tsc84124: It will be nice when we snag aldridge for less than you paid for Sap next year...
Until the seven-day window passes and Millsap is ours, then I'll still be skeptical that the guy is ours. But my gut reaction is to say, hahahaha.. screw you Utah.
I'll be floored with shock if they don't match.
What's interesting about Millsap is that he is fine with being a backup. The guy has been in the NBA for three or four years, and yet he has no problem with Aldridge being the starter. This means we won't have to worry about him demanding a starter's minutes, or growing unhappy in Portland. That's something that would have been an issue with someone like David Lee.They don't think he's starter material. Fortunately for us, he doesn't have to be.

Personally, I liked this one:
- Let them learn what so many teams have learned over the years - that Jerry Sloan gets the best out of his players and they rarely do well when going to another team. Of the hundred of so players that have left during his regime, only a handful have been successful elsewhere.
I am a Millsap fan, but this a tough call for me if I am the Jazz. Whatever is decided will recieve criticism (damned if you do, damned if you don't reality). We will know more in time.
It's more than the Jazz were expecting to sign him for but they should still match. Otherwise they're without both Boozer and Millsap next year. Even at that price the Jazz will be trading Boozer and IMO he'll prove to be a better all-around PF. More durable, better on the defensive end and still improving. He has already added a nice mid-range shot and he has strarted showing some really nice moves/footwork around the basket.
Why the antagonism from Millsap's agent? He knows the situation the Jazz are in with Booz and Memo staying. The Jazz are obviously very keen to keep Millsap, otherwise they wouldn't be working so hard to move Boozer. Why muddy the waters by making things personal? Seems a little unprofessional to me.
Just go ahead and recap next time:
Some Jazz fans think they shouldn't match.
