PG Jeff McInnis gained 15 to 20 pounds as he rehabbed his knee over the last two months of the season, so the Nets not only left him off the playoff roster, they asked him to go home so he wouldn't be a distraction. . . . Reminds me of Chris Childs gaining 20 pounds in New Jersey a few years ago. Wow.

Why anyone still signs him is beyond me, he's just a punk.

He was great for Cleveland last year untill he started causing lockerroom issues..

The Nets took a gamble that didn't work out. Oh well, Vaughn as been great anyway

Shouldn't even be in the Nets forum cause he really isn't a part of our team. Our FA signings from last year are almost all gone..

Murray and Padgett are the only guys left on this team whom were added in the offseason..Ironically, they were signed to plug holes in the roster and ended up playing a larger role than the others who were signed earlier in the free agency period.

Actually Padgett and McInnis were the big names while Murrary was the afterthought that would get 5-10 garbage minutes. But, Murrary has been playing well with his minutes, rebounding well and *gasp* playing defense. I'm not a fan of his shot selection but he can give RJ a good rest from time to time

Padgett and Murray were the last two guys we signed in the offseason. We tried to get McKie, Tractor Traylor, Keyon Dooling, and of course Shareef Abdur Rahim were all guys we targetted in the offseason. After efforts for those players failed, Padgett and Murray were the players picked up using the remaining part of the MLE that was used partly on McInnis..

That's terrible. He has always been in pretty good shape his whole career. It's a shame when guys like him come in the league. He is a punk who thinks he is better than he really is, and if you ask me, he's only in the league for the money. Guys that don't work hard once they get there, I have no respect for. He needs to lose his 15-20 lbs. then pick up a bottle of Prozac. It's a shame when talent goes to waste, he is a very good playmaker with a decent shot and he can run hard (maybe not anymore). He was excellent for Cleveland for the first half of the season last year. It's a shame, because he really could have contributed quality backup minutes for Kidd this year if he really wanted to.
