I think you might be right.

I asked Merkley if he really thought taxing the company that provided my healthcare coverage, if they continued to provide it, would produce revenue?
He said, Congress has a Constitutional right to do it.

He was absolutely correct, but did not honestly answer. The reason for the tax was to entice if not force companies to stop providing healthcare.
He could not say it. I did not know at the time but he (and the Democrats) did this to somewhere between 15 to 25 million people. Despicable.
 
If he isn't a community organizer, he's not qualified.

Wow, that’s almost (I said “almost”) reason enough to re-affiliate with the Democratic Party. Oregon can only benefit by sending one of our own to the White House (and being an Oregonian first and an American second, that certainly works for me). At least Merkley actually resides in Oregon when he’s not in DC, instead of living in NYC like Wyden. And if nothing else, at least Merkley has the balls to stand up to Trump and his more extremist cronies. And even more impressive, he had the balls to stand up to Hillary. Merkley in 2020!

As much as I love his stance on the issues he really is robotic and kinda bland when he speaks.

That is the OPPOSITE of the Hutt in office now so I'm all for it.
 
Not at all a Jeff fan. I find myself in conflict with almost everything he believes in. What I do respect him for is that he is consistent. Shoot, go ahead and make a run. Obviously has no chance to win the DNC spot with his lack of anything resembling a personality or eye appeal.

BUT..would it be fun to watch him and President Trump debate?
