In light of what's going on with Kittles, Martin and Kidd, I guess it's good to finally hear something positive.

Well what else can he say? Kidd and K-Mart are both gone. He'll score 19 points a game. Don't think I'm calling him jealous. He wants to get the money from someone next year, his best bet is to play in NJ and get the ball.

There is not much he can say at this point. Even after this year he will be a restricted free agent and the Nets will have the cap space to re-sign him as well. He could be in NJ for a long time so saying the right things now will help him later.

If J-Kidd is traded, the franchise is in his hands to lose and I don't see anything wrong with being happy about that. But who would want to be part of a rebuilding team when they were one season removed from the NBA finals?

i read something that said the nets could offer him 70 to 75 mil for an extention of 6yrs thats more than the extention they offerd kmart last year from the looks of all the trading and things looks like the nets are trying to save money to keep RJ

They should keep RJ, he's really good and has got a bright future ahead of him. Demanding trades is getting out of hand these days, someone gets jealous then they go to the front office and demand a trade..

They will keep RJ of course he does not have a big contract considering he is still signed to his rookie deal. He will be probable a all star this year if not this one the next one he will be there new corner stone if they deside to trade kidd.

This could end up being a very bad business move for RJ though considering his rookie contract is up soon by him saying this that he wants to stay in NJ the front office people will try and sign him for less than he is worth. Also its a bad career move for RJ because the nets if they trade away kidd will in my mind fall right back to being a lottery team they are not the bucks nor the jazz they do not have enough depth to continue to be a good team after trading away a superstar player.

Unless they get a superstar player in return for kidd which is unlikely considering new team personal wants to cut team cap before the move to new york. It will be horrible for the nets in new york now if they trade away kidd do to the huge media pressure they will be under they will be like the mets to the yankees the yankees being the new york knicks.

I think RJ, just like any regular human being, wants the cash. If he's offer the max, he'll take it. He'll be the best player on the team and he'll be the main option. The team might suck, but he'll have freedom and he'll gain respect and a level amount of pity as well. His loyalty would also be unquestioned.

I did see RJ on Sportscenter commenting on the Boozer fiasco. He said that Boozer made out real well cause he got 68 million dollars and you can't argue against that. It could've been for chemistry issues, but he seemed real genuine on it. He wants cash

That's exactly what I think too. Of course he won't be mad over Martin and Kittles being traded away. He now will get full leadership of the team if Kidd goes too, and he now knows that the Nets want him as their franchise player in the future, so expect him to ask for a maximum contract next summer.
