Right before, Kimmel talked about what a down to earth kind of guy LeBron was, and then he comes out carried like that.

Everything is (most likely) scripted. That's what comedians do. And of course all other presentators at award shows.

Yeah it was all scripted, I saw a behind the scenes at the ESPYS thing on ESPN and they showed Kimmel and James rehearsing a couple times. All the jokes were planned. I loved the Kobe baby line and Kobe to Miami line though. And LeBron's entrance was great as well. It's funny that he can laugh at himself about the Finals and stuff.

I also laughed at Greg Oden. When Kimmel said "Where's Greg Oden?" Oden's face was like "Damn, I hope I don't get shitted on!"
