Last night, 60 Minutes was scheduled to show a story on COCOT. The prison in El Salvador to which the US has been sending illegal immigrants to. At last minutes CBS pulled the story. The excuse given was that it wouldn't be fair to the Trump Administration to air since they have refused to comment on it.

So the story was replaced at the very last minute.

Except...

Last night's episode of 60 Minutes had already been sent to Canada for broadcast, and no one bothered to tell them not to show it. And people recorded it.

CBS has successfully had copies of this story removed all day long from YouTube, but the Internet Archive has the video.

Bari Weiss Praised El Salvador’s Dictator Before Spiking '60 Minutes' Story on His Torture Prison

Weiss touted El Salvador’s brutal leader while her blog published jokes about Trump sending immigrants to the CECOT prison.

“The hottest campaign stop is this Salvadoran supermax.” This is what Bari Weiss’s The Free Press wrote in April about CECOT – the infamous mega prison in El Salvador where Donald Trump sent immigrants without due process and in defiance of a judge’s order.

Weiss separately gushed about the popularity of El Salvador’s president, who describes himself as the “world’s coolest dictator,” and how safe he’s made the Central American nation – without noting he’s suspended basic civil liberties, has been accused of making deals with gang leaders, and has thrown thousands of innocent people in jail without giving them a fair trial.

Months later, on Sunday night, Weiss spiked a CBS News story on the treatment of immigrants Trump sent to prison in El Salvador – while offering sanctimonious lectures to the actual journalists who produce ‘60 Minutes’ about how the show’s CECOT segment wasn’t ready and didn’t include enough about the Trump administration’s bogus justifications for sending people there.

Old story. Censorship having opposite effect. Mediocre novel about sexual exploitation of young girl censored, becomes best seller and girl's name forever synonymous with sexually abused girls. Art exhibit cancelled and previously unknown artist becomes household name. Minimally talented rap group puts out profane album. Censorship makes it best seller. Popular comic taken off air and his return gets highest ratings in history.

I remember a judge who made headlines when he sentenced a notorious slumlord to live for a month in his own building, experiencing the conditions under which tenants had to live.

Justice would be Trump, Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, Tom Homan, Karoline Leavitt and crew sent to CECOT for a month. Maybe include everyone in Congress who voted for it
