a forgone conclusion that he plays somewhere else next season?

J.J. Hickson

Future with Blazers: "That's to be determined. All I can do is control what I can control. That's play basketball. Let the front office and my agent handle that part of it. ... It's still to be determined. You never know what happens in the offseason with different trades and things like that. Right now I'm just sitting back, getting ready for the summer and let the cookies crumble where they may."

Want to return? "I definitely want to come back. This is the best season of my career. I think I've thrived in this system and playing under coach Stotts. Why not come back?"

Playing power forward compared to center: "I think anyone who knows basketball knows that's my natural position, power forward. This season I think I sacrificed a lot by playing the five. I have to thank coach for giving me the opportunity to thrive in his system and start."

Wants to come back. Obviously doesn't want to play the five and probably wouldn't mind coming off the bench. So it's all about the money, is the demand really out there for a player like JJ, at what cost?

Close to one but wouldn't say forgone conclusion. He could strike out in Free Agency again like last year and we could bring him back for a little under MLE-money as the first backup big off the bench.

I don't think he will strike out this year but I also don't see him getting 8 MIL plus like everyone seemed to have thought half way though the season.

A lot of teams have money to spend this year, someone will strike out on other free agents and overpay him.

He is the prefect back up PF. In the perfect scenario he would be great. The problem his perfect scenario and ours are completely different I think

Man, I'm just salivating over next year. Hickson and Claver will push us over 50 wins! Get the season started!

JJ would be ideal at the MLE for a team like the Knicks or even the Lakers.
