Eighth seed Han Xinyun had to come from behind to book her place in the second round of the Jiangxi Open in Nanchang, China.
The home hopeful, 142nd in the world, lost the first set 6-2 to Japanese qualifier Junri Namigata - 249 places below her in the rankings - before fighting back to prevail 2-6 6-4 7-5 in two hours 38 minutes.
