It's clear by his comments that Joe Biden lacks not only a basic grasp of the reason the Second Amendment was created, but also the mental capacity to understand the clearly stated concerns of his constituents.

If the point of the 2nd Amendment (and who really knows if there was one) is to protect yourself from the government, who really thinks you can protect yourself from the government with an AR15? Doerner was as trained and armed as they come. He couldn't survive for longer than a week. The government has bunker busters, bombs, planes, tear gas, incendiary tear gas, etc. Frankly, if the government wants to oppress you, you have absolutely no hope (with or without an AR15). So remind me again why you need to possess this gun in your home?

The whole military basically couldn't keep the peace in Afghanistan or Iraq. But they'll do it here with 10x the population and a population that's highly educated in comparison?

And the point isn't to protect yourself from the govt., but to protect yourself. If your life was on the line, would you want to have to dial 911 and wait for the cops to come?
