We’ll look, lets be real, NO ONE made it that far in politics just by being a nice guy... You’re gonna either get the same jerk or a new one. What we want is someone a little more like a polished turd that’ll make us feel good while they fling poo at us.

Have you met Barack Obama? If there's anything negative about him, it's that he's too nice. He tried to placate everyone.
 
By tuning he will either:
(Most Likely) Joe Walsh get the tar kicked out of him by Trump and all the Trump sycophants like Moscow Mitch. But in the process Walsh might convince a few of the 6% undecided that Trump is a terrible option, unworthy of a vote under any circumstances. This could also take Trumps eyes off the Dems contenders for a few moments.

or

(Less Likely) Walsh successfully attacks Trump and becomes the R nominee. If that happens, enough of Trumps core supporters would never switch under any conditions, guaranteeing that Walsh would have no chance of winning in the general.

Either way, the Dems chances just went up a bit.

I don't disagree with this one. Islam is a backward ass religion (most are but Islam especially so) that needs to radically update it's views or preferably just disappear. I don't subscribe to any religion but it's pretty much undeniable that Christianity is better than Islam.

Scenario 2 just aint'a gonna happen.
 
If he's serious about the "Anyone But Trump" mindset, he should be trying super hard to appeal to the Trump voters with an eye toward gaining enough of a following to--after losing in the primary--run as a 3rd-party candidate in the general, splitting the R vote and allowing the D candidate to win.

We'll see when the primary dust settles if he (or other prospective R candidates) actually view Trump as more objectionable than the D nominee.

His healthcare plan was designed to stick it too a hell of a lot people that worked many years to earn the healthcare they had. As per plan, now they don't and neither do many that he planned to have it instead.
