Old Roy left the team when the surgeon removed the last of his meniscii. Besides, it's not the Roy we see in the first month of the season after resting up for six months that worries me, it's Roy in month two, month three and beyond.

That is the way I see it. If Roy and Oden both play well this year you keep both. If neither can move up and down the court, you get rid of one or both. But if you sign a back up player right now to a Full Mid Level, (By cutting Roy) I think you are screwed next year in terms of Freedland.

Again I am too lazy to do the math, but that is what I would assume.

damn shoulda just left the meniscus it in there then, wtf

Sad, though, that Joel began playing ball at 16 and is light-years ahead of Oden in terms of fundamentals, even though Oden's been playing AAU ball since he was 9

Freeland is a very fundamental big. You could see it in the little things like how he always keeps his rebounds high above his head to boxing out. Against France he boxed out Noah who totally wasn't expecting it and Joel moved him out of the paint like a ragdoll.

Freeland is a PF. I think he comes over next season and starts at PF while Aldridge plays center.

He's been quiet in recent games after getting player of the month for the first month of the ACB season. Worryingly, he doesn't seem to play that well in Euroleague games.

Joel makes it in this weeks top-10 plays (#10)

He loves that p&r.

Rudy at No. 4.

It seems that Euro network is suffering from the same American delusion that the only great basketball plays are either dunks or blocks. I don't know if that's more disappointing or sad.

It seems like forever since we drafted him.

He's younger than I thought -- only 11 months older than Greg Oden and lightyears ahead of Oden in terms of fundamentals.

Yeah, and he looks good in these clips. But I can't tell if he's the real deal, or a Josh McRoberts clone (looks like a stud against Sub-NBA talent)

Freeland has been the most efficient bigman in Europe for the past two seasons. He also looked like a stud against Noah and Ibaka. Small sample size (NBA comp) but I have high hopes for him.
