John McEnroe had to be helped off the court with a hamstring injury during a Rogers Legends Cup match against Michael Chang.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion was stretching for a shot late in the second set Saturday when he collapsed to the ground, his face twisted in pain.

Chang and two medical officials tended to the 52-year-old McEnroe as he lay on the court for nearly 10 minutes. They finally hoisted him to his feet and he hobbled off the court, his arms wrapped around the two medics.
