My MS Paint skills are on point.

What really annoyed me wasn't what Jokic was getting away with but the combination of that and the TNT only talking about the Nuggets almost as if they weren't playing another team. It was downright infuriating in the extreme.
I noticed that too, what really got me was when we were just about to win they said something to the effect of “well not a good shooting night for Denver” and that was it game over.

It was all about what Denver did wrong and what they could do to improve. Nothing about Portland at all. So damn annoying.

I hear ya, but it's also kinda true. They had a lot of open looks that they didn't hit. We, as Blazer fans, should understand better than most the idea of "live by the three, die by the three" - last night DEN died from their lack of 3-point shooting. Glad it went that way!

I think that is why (until maybe recently) the notion was true that jump shooting teams struggle in the playoffs. As the pressure builds, wide open threes become tougher to hit.

Yeah the good part is we won and Dame was 1-7 from deep. That will change as well. I did get a little nervous when Murray bricked that one 3ptr off the front of the rim in the 4th and somehow it bounced up, hit the back board and went in to cut the lead to 7. I thought "oh shit....here we go, we let them hang around......."

I think the idea probably still holds true - it's just that now most teams ARE jump-shooting teams so it doesn't stand out in stark contrast like it once did.

All that matters is that its now a 1-1 series and should be 3-1 by monday. Fuck those silly announcers that have to toe company lines etc. McHale sounds like a fanboy and a fool. Have some balls: be critical and complimentary of both teams and not a fanboy. That other announcer was unbearable with his effusive praise for Jokic. What about the motherfucking scoreboard? Make all the between the leg passes you want; no one remembers those just the w-l column.

Yeah once GS won their first title in this era, everyone was quick to copy. But maybe it is easier spreading the floor and shooting a wide open jumper/set shot, than taking a contested shot at the basket. 3 pt shooters are so protected now you can't even be in their landing area. Where driving to the basket you get pounded. It takes a bigger toll on your body. Dame gets beat up attacking the basket. He gets more calls 23 feet out than he does when he is 3 feet out.

I guess over the back isn’t a foul anymore.

Over the back has never been a foul... :dunno:

The call is Push in the back.

It's completely legal to athletically jump over someone's back with marginal contact.

What you may not do is displace them from their spot without having position.

I think they meant over the back in the sense of loose ball foul

Not sure if y’all talked about this already...

At the end of the game, when the fracas with Kanter bumping into the masked dude, the announcers said “it’s not a foul, because jokic pushed kanter into him”. Isn’t pushing someone a foul? I was like wtf am I hearing right now.

Also, right after jokic got his 5th, they went straight to kanter in the post, and jokic hacked kanter right on the head. In other games that’s a crazy flagrant sometimes. And no call.

I was right there with you. What the seriously fuck.

I'm going to repost this here:

I think it's time for El Beardo to hand his title of most protected player in the NBA over to Jokic.

I'm not kidding.

What's funny is TurkeyGlue seemed like he really wanted to sign here. But his wife overruled him. Happy wife, happy life I guess.

Now TurkeyGlue is a right hand man to a ruthless murderous dictator. So he's done alright for himself. I guess.

Haha, I think I posted this in the wrong thread :)

Whatever....

Bar keep! Hit me again!

It was clearly intentional, and he was trying for his injured shoulder.

Jokic should have been suspended a game, besides being ejected for what was his 6th personal.
