I'm glad they were enjoying it. I wasn't.Even people at the Pepsi Center were laughing about what Jokic was getting away with during the game.
Guy legitimately had 10 fouls at least tonight.

I noticed that too, what really got me was when we were just about to win they said something to the effect of “well not a good shooting night for Denver” and that was it game over. What really annoyed me wasn't what Jokic was getting away with but the combination of that and the TNT only talking about the Nuggets almost as if they weren't playing another team. It was downright infuriating in the extreme.
It was all about what Denver did wrong and what they could do to improve. Nothing about Portland at all. So damn annoying.I noticed that too, what really got me was when we were just about to win they said something to the effect of “well not a good shooting night for Denver” and that was it game over.
I hear ya, but it's also kinda true. They had a lot of open looks that they didn't hit. We, as Blazer fans, should understand better than most the idea of "live by the three, die by the three" - last night DEN died from their lack of 3-point shooting. Glad it went that way!I noticed that too, what really got me was when we were just about to win they said something to the effect of “well not a good shooting night for Denver” and that was it game over.
I think that is why (until maybe recently) the notion was true that jump shooting teams struggle in the playoffs. As the pressure builds, wide open threes become tougher to hit.I hear ya, but it's also kinda true. They had a lot of open looks that they didn't hit. I think the idea probably still holds true - it's just that now most teams ARE jump-shooting teams so it doesn't stand out in stark contrast like it once did.I think that is why (until maybe recently) the notion was true that jump shooting teams struggle in the playoffs. thats exactly right!I think the idea probably still holds true - it's just that now most teams ARE jump-shooting teams so it doesn't stand out in stark contrast like it once did.

I guess over the back isn’t a foul anymore.

I think they meant over the back in the sense of loose ball foulOver the back has never been a foul...
The call is Push in the back.
It's completely legal to athletically jump over someone's back with marginal contact.
What you may not do is displace them from their spot without having position.

I was right there with you. What the seriously fuck. Not sure if y’all talked about this already...
At the end of the game, when the fracas with Kanter bumping into the masked dude, the announcers said “it’s not a foul, because jokic pushed kanter into him”. Isn’t pushing someone a foul? I was like wtf am I hearing right now.
Also, right after jokic got his 5th, they went straight to kanter in the post, and jokic hacked kanter right on the head. In other games that’s a crazy flagrant sometimes. And no call.
When they push back with their body what do we call it?No...
The only "over the back" call is during rebounding.
Also, you don't have to use your hands to push. You can push with your body.
Haha, I think I posted this in the wrong threadWhat's funny is TurkeyGlue seemed like he really wanted to sign here. But his wife overruled him. Happy wife, happy life I guess.
Now TurkeyGlue is a right hand man to a ruthless murderous dictator. So he's done alright for himself. I guess.
