Jonny Flynn on market (Blazers)

Has he had any good games this year? I have not noticed any.

If it's for nothing (TE) - take a flyer on him. He is a pick and roll PG playing in the triangle.

Yeah, I'll trade nothing for Flynn.

Anything more than that is a deal-breaker.

He's the type of low risk high reward guy this team should take a chance on. He was halfway decent last year, but has been hampered by inconsistency and injuries. Minny fans want to throw him in the garbage. If we can get him on the cheap (ie. Exception, draft pick, Babbit, etc.) I'd go for it.

He sucks in the Wolves' system, but I think he can still be a decent player. If we could get him for a guy who doesn't play much or something along those lines, I'd be very up for that.

Why would Minny do a deal with us when they are butthurt from the Martell deal

I'd do Babbitt for Flynn. I'm sure you can convince Kahn to do it too.

I'd take on Flynn if it was for cheap, cheap, cheap. He has a significant better up side than Patty, IMO.

I would take him over either of the guys playing backup now. Without a doubt, providing his medical history clears. Remember he is coming off of a major hip surgery.

He sucks. Patty is turning out better than him.

I think that has a lot to do with the system. He's not a triangle point, so trying to turn him into one isn't playing to his strengths.

DJ Augustin looked terrible playing under Larry Brown because he wasn't allowed to play to his strengths. Now he looks like a pretty good building block going forward.

I don't think Flynn will turn out to be a star, but solid starter? I think he could be that. Remember, he's only one year removed from being the 6th pick in the draft.

I will say one thing about Flynn. I'm not really that high on him, but after seeing what a year in Minny did to Ramon Sessions career tract and how he's rebounded being put back into a pick-and-roll offense (forget team wins here for a second I'm only talking about efficiency and PER) I think he's got a puncher's chance of being half-way decent if he can get out of Rambis' bastardized version of the trinagle. That said I'd only offer a bare minimum in assets to get him and with his contract that's going to be tough.

He's terrible. Maybe worth a TPE, but he still has two more years guaranteed, which makes him unattractive to me. I'd pass.

As the Fonz would say. Exactamundo!

I forgot about the Bayless exception. So maybe you do the TPE and a second round pick? That seems pretty fair given his lackluster run in Minnesota

The Bayless exception isn't big enough. We'd have to send a player or two for Flynn.

That being said, I'd do it. Flynn with the right coaching could be terrific.

Babbit, Armon, a second rounder, and $3mil cash for Flynn and Webster. Do it CHO! :D

Well ... he couldn't be much worse.

The way I look at it is if he is any worse, he just wouldn't get any playing time. That isn't all that much different than what happens now, where Mills goes into the game and the lead dissappears faster than you would think possible.

This. Low risk, potentially high reward. Much more likely to learn from Andre than Mills is due to game styles. Although, Johnson is the closest to Andre.

I would love to get Flynn. I think he could do very well here and I think he's EXACTLY the kind of low risk/high reward chance that we need to be taking.
