Goes to show how out of touch with the team I am, I didn't even know Calabro stepped down. Any reason for he stepped down? I am totally out of the loop.
Everyone enjoyed his commentating except for me apparently.
Wow the Kings got Mark Jones from ESPN as their main play by play guy?! How the hell they pull that off and we get Jordan Kent
Will get me to watch some games again. I just could not enjoy Calabro.
After the Blazers hired Demers, I think the writing was on the wall they were going to go with a more budget hire in this position as well. The days of us paying top dollar for positions like these appear to be gone. I worry this will continue to trickle down to the roster as well.
Theres the tunchi we know and love.
Well since you asked...Who is that? Why ya fear him/her so much
I wouldn't even say Jordan is good.Idk, we have been so used to excellent PBP guys and while Jordan is good he isnt great. I personally find him and Lamar to be quite boring. I find myself watching the National Broadcasts now when I can.
Give him a season. Let him work into the role and get comfortable. Everyone deserves a chance to excel.I wouldn't even say Jordan is good.
Not his fault though, he just doesnt have the experience yet.
Still missing Mike and Mike.
This is EXACTLY what @SlyPokerDog said about THE HCP his rookie S2 season.Give him a season. Let him work into the role and get comfortable. Everyone deserves a chance to excel.
He has some really good qualities that he can apply to the broadcast team. On top of it all he is a very well liked guy who will work hard.
Me too. I felt he really had become one of us in his short tenure. Made some fantastic calls of great moments that will always be apart of Blazers lore. That being said i'm excited for Jordan Kent. He's has a great personality, and will get to grow with an exciting Blazer Basketball era. Best Wishes for a long, and exciting career with the Blazers.Maybe I’m in the minority but I liked Calabro.
