Because it truly is best for the financial health of the franchise. McGowen has done a very good job of making a small market franchise profitable. Hopefully this will encourage Jody Allen to continue staying in luxury tax area.

I’m not sure how a play by play guy helps revenue, but if that’s the case then Hurd needs to go. He’s awful

Calabro is a familiar voice to Seattle area fans. Getting ad and sponsorship revenue from two major markets is better than from just Portland.

And I agree about Hurd. Not a fan.

I’m just saying nobody cares about ties to Seattle and the hidden meaning to it.

I don’t blame the Blazers. There’s a market up north that’s HUGE with no NBA basketball I would do whatever it takes to cram our product down their throats to milk money out of it. Honestly they should do the same further north to Vancouver BC. And maybe even Boise. Saturate Blazer shit all over those cities and milk it.

That’s what Mariners and Seahawks do down here..
 
I would think this means that Jordan returns to the desk host and Brooke returns to the sidelines for next year.
 
according to Freeman, Kent is definitely out, but at this stage, it's only "mutual interest" in re-hiring Calabro

I really wish the Blazers didn't have a massive institutional fetish for all things Seattle
