The reaction to some of this is priceless! It wasn't about CNN. That was just part of the story that let's people know it wasn't just some random, no-name journalist. My goodness...the ability to have a simple discussion or make even a casual observation without the immediate blame game onslaught is beyond belief.

Then why did you mention CNN? If it wasn't about it, guess what, you don't need to mention it.

my bad....I read the article completely and now understand ….I deleted my posts as they were really responding to something off track….

Not sure why you brought Obama into this as the faults that Obama had would be similar to comparing a petty car thief to Charles Manson. Both were at fault, but nowhere near the same extent. About the only president that Trump can be compared to in my time is Nixon.
Yeah I probably shouldn't, just frustrated with politicians in general that say anything to get elected.
And you are right Trump is in the same league as Nixon.

Not even close. Good thread for this one.

Wow! Ten years to get long term investment status! Well I hope it works. I have wondered how in the hell would they ever get investments in
places like Baltimore.

WTF does this have to do with the question I asked you about Anderson Cooper?
I don't care about Anderson Cooper.

It has plenty to do with the issue Tucker was speaking to. I honestly think Tucker thought he could make a point with the liberals about how much trash illegals leave everywhere.

The problem with that is the trash can be cleaned up. The trash is the least of our worries. As far as the environment goes that's another reason NOT to build a huge wall. I'm sure there would be some unintended damage done by blocking wildlife from moving freely.

The link shows the two states with the highest number of illegal immigrants also have the most uneducated people.

Apparently we need millions of them even though the jobs they could do are rapidly being automated.

Now Anderson Cooper has a sad.

Agreed.

What jobs did you have in mind here (that are being rapidly automated)? I'm stereotypically thinking of lettuce-picking, which isn't getting automated as far as I know, but probably you have something else in mind.

Lots of automated kiosks to order food out there. One of the casinos on the strip has a robot that will bring you towels or room service. In the recent union contracts two of the main issues for the union were.....NOT cooperating with immigration officials and NOT automating their jobs. That's hilarious to me. We're here to do jobs Americans won't do so don't get rid of those jobs or get rid of us.

Lettuce is a perfect example of something that NEEDS to be automated to keep it safe for people.

No doubt - maybe I'll work on developing a lettuce picker. Doesn't seem like an impossible task if you can do surgery with a robot.

CNN To Launch Real News Spinoff Site

ATLANTA, GA—After years of publishing distorted headlines, slanted news articles, and heavily biased news coverage, media giant CNN announced Friday that it has decided to launch a spinoff site that focuses on real news comprised of objective facts.

Dubbed “CNN: Real,” the site is designed to bring the news media empire into the arena of publishing real news, a step away from its roots as a channel that covers entirely fabricated stories and shamelessly spins all news into liberal talking points.

“We know this is going to get some push-back from our viewer base, but don’t worry: the original CNN site and cable channel are still a large part of our business,” company Vice President Michael Bass said during an announcement on the shift toward real news. “Anytime you want to have your biases confirmed, CNN will be there.”

“But with CNN: Real, we’re going to try our hand at reporting facts, and doing so in an unbiased manner.”

Painting the new site as an “experiment,” Bass admitted to reporters that he is not entirely confident the real news angle will resonate with the company’s regular viewership, but CNN executives decided it was worth a shot, saying, “If it doesn’t work out, we can always just go back to focusing all of our energy on making stuff up.”

Who's your source? Your dream?

Who's your source? Your dream?

Lanny, it's pretty obvious he's a method actor. So he's signed up for a lot of the chain emails that send this kind of stuff to people who believe every conspiracy in the world. he's just copying and pasting his emails.

Well, not emails, but the links to the websites he goes to to find this stuff that he knows isn't true but knows it'll solicit a response.

Just ignore him.

The Fake News has become so rampant and obvious as to wonder where you can get an actual true, objective story anymore. ... https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...as-relotius-fake-news-der-spiegel/2373298002/

I hear this stuff all the time and have a sincere question: What exactly is fake about all of the news people like you call fake?

CNN seems very reliable to me, nothing ever seems made up. Their journalists like Don Lemon certainly have a left leaning but that's the news business these days. It's out in the open, not fake. The NY Times is eminently reliable. Yes, I see your link and that guy blew it, but as you well know, outliers are almost irrelevant, statistically speaking.

So who and what exactly is fake?
