Anyone else wondering why in the hell the Yanx are playing poker/low balling on Judge's arbitration settlement?...I mean, the Yanx are offering $17 Mil while Judge is asking for $21 Mil.
And there's no guarantee he will resign a long term deal which they also low balled him on before the start of the regular season. If the Yanx are truly sincere in wanting to lock Judge up for the rest of his career, they need to first, give Judge $25 Mil this year (a $4 mil bump above what Judge is asking for) and also give him the contract he deserves for the next 8+ years.
But if they are only able to give him a bonus at the arby table, it will at least let Judge know that the Yanx are serious about extending him after this season.
IMO, the Yanx are playing a dangerous game...and one they could very well lose.
