BUEHRLE 10-6 2.86ERA VS KURODA 6-6 3.88ERA

Brett Gardner LF
Derek Jeter, SS
Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
Carlos Beltran DH
Brian McCann 1B
Chase Headley 3B
Ichiro Suzuki RF
Brian Roberts 2B
Francisco Cervelli C

Hiroki Kuroda

Horrible start by Kuroda. Serves up a 3-0 three run homer to Bautista.

Without the stupid shift Francisco grounds out. Why the hell would Girardi put the shift on for a guy hitting 208 over the last 2 months? And now he's got the shift on again for a guy hitting 219. this is just ridiculous.

3-2 Toronto after two innings of play.

...what are you complaining about?...did it do any damage?

...but hey, don't let facts have and effect on your blind hatred.

...god damn it, Joe...if you had told Kuroda to intentionally walk Bautista, he would not have hit another HR !...wake up, Joe.

Two mistakes by Kuroda have been hit out by Bautista.

Beltran with a solo shot makes it 4-3 Blue Jays.

^^^sure would like to see Beltran and McCann start cooking.

Ichiro son with a three run shot makes it 6-4 Yankees.

Thank God Buehrle craps the bed against this team. Lets make it 17-0 in the last seventeen at home against this team. A ridiculous stat indeed.

...I brought up Buehrle's and the Jays' bad streaks vs the Yanx in another thread...hard to believe actually.

theres that sign again of a well coached team, knowing girardi there will b no fine

...yes, because no other teams have baserunners get caught between 2B and 3B...it only happens Girardi coached Yanx teams.

...but keep posing.

...great call implementing the shift again, Joe...robbed Rasmus of another base hit for the second time tonight.

...MOY

...I would think that if you ask Buehrle and the rest of the Jays players, they'd likely say that the losing streaks to the Yanx don't really enter into their minds...but you just know they do.

Watching that last game against Texas Ichiro was getting some good wood on the ball. I figured he was probably ending that slump and he sure got a hell of a slump buster this evening.

...lol...standard positioning also gives and takes away base hits.

...the players' stubbornness is what caused the shift to be created...and the players will be the ones to cause it to be eliminated.

Roberts- Bobble Hand Figurine Time, I swear to God, a NCAA wide receiver; a kid, would of had that ball over the shoulder, shallow CF, routine catch even for an old man 2nd baseman, well maybe not...!

There was a time not long ago that the shift was only used for the dead pull hitters that could actually hurt you. Not 200-220 hitters. Like I said the shift is WAY over used.

My God... again there a lot of 200 220 hitters that are also pull hitters ...why is it so hard to understand ?

Ron read it again, I said dead pull hitters that could actually HURT YOU. Geez, I give up.

...I don't have to read it again...they don't have to be "dead pull hitters" for the shift to be effective. Is McCann a dead pull hitter?...no...is Ortiz a dead pull hitter?...no. How many examples do you need?
...offense is down throughout Baseball recently and the shift is the main reason.
...for about the 3rd time, there is no difference in depriving a .220 hitter of a hit anymore than there is depriving a .320 hitter of a hit...a hit is a hit and the less hits you allow, the better your chances of winning are...if you can't grasp this simple concept, I'm sorry, but it does not change the facts.
