The month of July was very good to the Yankees. We can only hope it continues in August.

Record 17-7

These guys might be sad to see the month end.

Arod 24-84 .286 9 hrs 16 RBI

Tex 29-87 .333 9 hrs 19 RBI

Headley 30-81 .370 1 hr 15 RBI

Didi 26-82 .317 1 hr 13 RBI

Chris Young deserves a mention as well. He was been great off the bench and is having an excellent season which includes two grand slams.

If the Yanks' August is similar to July, I'll crawl out on the ledge and say they will hang on and win the division....of course barring an epidemic of injuries in Sept.

lol

All good points Vic, now I'm hoping Ellsbury can start contributing. I think he's batting around 215 since his return.

Yeah and Gardner has slumped as well along with McCann. The hopeful good news is those guys are due to break out when the inevitable cooling down happens for some others.

Now that August is here, we'll see if the older bodies
can endure. :sigh:

Hopefully August will continue with the comparable and/or improved performances...
