3 years ago, the local sheriff served a search warrant on Afroman, looking for evidence of kidnapping. The police kicked his door down, searched his house, cut the feed, damaged his home security cameras, and then had conflicting totals of the money they seized and later returned to him.

No evidence of wrongdoing was found. No charges were ever filed.

Afroman did what Afroman does: he wrote a few rap songs about what happened and the officers involved.

The officers got very upset over this and filed defamation lawsuits against him.

The Supreme Court has already said we have a 1st Amendment Right to say Fuck the Police. These officers were challenging if Afroman has the right to sing about it and profit from it.

I think the main issue was Afroman made a music video of the officers in his home. Legend!
