And other races/religions have managed to overcome much of that prejudice. Jews, Asians, etc. The biggest problem with the black community is their continued self-victimhood by much of their population and certainly most of their "leaders".
And speaking of Chris Rock, one of his most insightful bits was "I love black people, but I hate *****s". I saw him do it at Howard University (I think it might have been the one filmed for HBO), and the overwhelmingly black audience was laughing even harder than I was.
I saw that Chris Rock bit, very funny. I used to not be a big Chris Rock fan but these days I will stop flipping and watch him if he is on TV. He can get me laughing out loud often.
I disagree with what you see as black people's biggest problem. But these are social issues where we can make points on both sides with out ever knowing the what the real answer is.
An interesting poll would be if people could choose what color to be born, what would they choose. I would like to see the results broken down by demographics. If truthful, my guess is the overwhelming percentage would be white . . . even among the minority population (but hopefully not as high as white population)
