Judge Kaplan Gives Trump Graphic Introduction to Witness Stand: He ‘Inserted His Fingers Into E Jean Carroll’s Vagina’

Before former President Donald Trump took the witness stand in his defamation trial involving E. Jean Carroll, the judge introduced him by telling the jury the ex-president sexually abused her.

Following a brief recess, Judge Lewis Kaplan asked Trump’s attorney Alina Habba if she had any more witnesses to call to the stand. When Habba responded that the former president intended to testify, Kaplan interrupted her to make a statement.

“I have a few things to say. There was a trial last year about the truth or falsity of Ms. Carroll’s claims. Mr. Trump was listed as a witness but did not testify. The jury found for Ms. Carroll. There are no do-overs, it’s called issue preclusion or collateral estoppel,” Kaplan informed the jury, according to journalist Matthew Russell.

Kaplan added, “The jury found that Mr. Trump inserted his fingers into her vagina. And that Ms. Carroll did not make up her claim. And that Mr. Trump’s June 11 and June 22 statements were defamatory. Now Mr. Trump may not make any argument against this.”



Last year, a jury found Trump liable for sexually assaulting Carroll in a department store back in the 1990s. Moreover, Kaplan previously found Trump’s 2019 comments calling Carroll a liar defamatory, so the trial is focused only on what damages Carroll will receive from Trump.

In the prior defamation case where Trump was found liable for sexual abuse, Carroll was awarded $5 million.

In the earlier trial the jury agreed Trump sexually assaulted Carroll. They did not find he specifically raped her since under New York law that requires inserting penis into vagina. Ms. Carroll acknowledged she wasn't sure if he had done so. Now, any woman can tell you, there is usually no uncertainty if a penis is in her vagina or not. Says something about his endowment.
 
So Trumps rape and lies cost him 88 million total but he’s still free to run for president? Something wrong with this. He should be banned from public office and have to register as a sex offender just like any other creep

The nine person jury — three women and six men — decided the case after three hours of deliberations that began just before noon Tuesday.

The jurors found that Carroll, 79, proved her 2019 lawsuit claiming that the 45th president raped her in a Bergdorf Goodman fitting room — most likely in 1996.

They also found in favor of Carroll on her claim that the ex-president defamed her in a lengthy Oct. 12, 2022 Truth Social post claiming her accusations were a “hoax.”

The decision comes after eight days of trial spread over three weeks, where the jury heard from 11 witnesses including Carroll, two other Trump accusers and two pals who Carroll confided in about the alleged attack.

Trump did not attend the trial but the jury saw clips of his video deposition. He also didn’t call any witnesses or present any evidence.

Carroll took the witness stand for three days recounting how she ran into the real estate mogul at the Fifth Avenue department store that was across from Trump Tower most likely in the spring of 1996.

Carroll — who had a successful column in Elle Magazine at the time — agreed to help Trump find a gift for a woman and the pair walked through the store flirting and exchanging banter, she said.

Trump led her to a desolate sixth-floor lingerie department where he tossed a see-through negligee at Carroll asking her to try it on, she claimed. But Carroll jokingly threw the lacy one-piece back at Trump telling him to try it on, she claimed.

Then Trump led her into an open fitting where he pinned her against the wall and bumped her head twice, during what she called, a “fight,” Carroll testified.

Trump then penetrated her with his fingers and later with his penis, she claimed, saying she could “still feel the pain,” of his fingers inside her.

Friend Lisa Birnbach told jurors that a “hyperventilating” Carroll called her just minutes after the alleged attack. Birbach said she advised Carroll to go to the police even offering to accompany her. But Carroll was insistent that she didn’t want to report the incident and swore Birnbach to secrecy, the pal said.

Two other Trump accusers, Natasha Stoynoff and Jessica Leeds, were also called by Carroll to tell jurors about incidents where they alleged Trump sexually assaulted them.

Leeds, 81, claimed that Trump groped and tried to kiss her on a plane in the late 1970s and then when she saw him years later he said, “You’re that c–t woman from the airplane.”

Stoynoff, a journalist, told jurors that Trump came onto her in 2005 while she was at Mar-a-Lago working on a piece for Trump and Melania’s one year anniversary.

Melania — who was pregnant at the time — was off changing while Trump forcibly kissed Stoynoff who was freed from his grasp when a butler interrupted, Stoynoff testified through tears.

Carroll’s lawyer Roberta Kaplan told jurors during closing arguments Monday that Leeds and Stoynoff’s claims showed that what happened to Carroll wasn’t a one-off incident.

Kaplan claimed that Trump is a habitual liar and blasted that he “didn’t even bother” to show up at trial.

Carroll’s side repeatedly brought up the infamous 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape where Trump was unwittingly recorded saying that he grabbed women “by the p—y” and that they let him because he’s a star.

Kaplan claimed that this was Trump saying how he treated women. But Trump claimed in his deposition that this video was simply “locker room talk.”

Trump lawyer Joe Tacopina told the jury during his closings that Carroll’s claims were a “work of fiction.”

The fact that Carroll never went to the police and the fact that she couldn’t recall the exact date of the alleged assault were just a few of the indications that she made up the thing.

Trump has claimed that Carroll, Birnbach and a third friend — that Carroll told about the alleged assault — were all political operatives who cooked up the allegations to hurt Trump’s presidency. He’s also claimed that Carroll made up the story to push the sale of her book.

Civil trial. In a criminal trial he likely would be a registered sex offender but in civil all he can face is monetary damages. I could add reputation damage but the Trump cult likes sexual assault.

He will just have his supporters pay for it.
 
Trump attorney Aline Habba said she would rather be pretty than smart because you can't fake pretty.
She's not very good at faking smart.

If he wants to appeal, which he already says he does, he has to put the full amount of the judgment in escrow.

All of his NY assets are currently frozen until the outcome of the other NY civil trial but she can still file liens against them.

He never pays anyone. I don't think Rudy has paid his debt either....after the New York fraud case Trump may have to sell a lot of properties to make his payments.

I deleted that post after reading it...I don't think I should have stated the outcome that way. I'd rather just say...I'm glad he was held accountable and hope it crushes his soul but I doubt he has one.

Giuliani helpfully commented that it was just sexual assault, not rape. Now that's a great campaign slogan. Vote for Yep, he sexually assaulted only.
