When VC was traded to New Jersey, a lot of people argued that it would be a new lease on life for him. In Toronto, Vince's last few years were characterised by disinterested play and a willingness to hang around the outside and not attack the basket.
I know that VC's first season in Jersey sparked a bit of a renaissance in his play, which most expected, but in looking at his numbers I noticed some patterns that I think should trouble Nets' fans, but I must admit some of the interpretation is a little blind since I don't get to see Nets game consistently up here in Canada
When I look at VC's numbers I notice that his FG% is down across the board and that the projection for his FT Attempts looks like it will fall in the low 400's, possibly high 300's. What I'm wondering is if VC is once again hangin around on the periphery and failing to attack the net. You can't really trust what you see in highlight reels because even when Vince was playing indifferently in Toronto, you might not have gotten that sense in the reels, because he is adept at generating individual highlight worthy plays on a consistent basis, but many nights those highlights weren't really representative of the body of work that he provided from game to game
Just wondering what the Jersey take is on VC's play
Have fun......................
