Just Saw Fight Club (SPOILERS)

So I've always heard it was an amazing movie and stuff but I had never actually seen it until last night and wow, it was great. Pretty confusing at times but it was still very well done and kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end.

SPOILERS:

My question for guys is, at what point did you start to notice that Tyler and Jack (I know that might not be his real name but you get the point) were the same person? I noticed when he was at the doctor for the first time and he said, "Sometimes Tyler would talk for me." Then they show Tyler sitting really far away saying that Jack "fell down stairs". Then Jack repeats it and I was like wait a second. I was like 100% sure when he fought himself in his bosses office because he said that the fight reminded him of his first with Tyler (which really would have just been another fight with himself). I thought the ending was pretty crazy but still an awesome movie nonetheless.

Wow I cant believe you just saw this man. haha but still good for you on seeing it.

It's a great flick, and yeah Norton if I remember correctly is credited as the Narrator or something like that. It's been a while since the first time i saw it so idk when i first realized they were the same guy.

But hey Swish I'm assuming you saw it on DVD. If you did, did you notice when the movie is loading, and showing the red screen that all movies show. Saying WARNING dont steal this movie. blah blah blah.
Well in the Fight Club movie, theres a quick blur and shows a completely new message. I cant ever read the whole thing though.

This movie has been declared both the most underrated and the most overrated flick.

I enjoyed it a lot, and I'm gonna watch it again sometime this week.

Yeah, I don't know why it took me so long to see it. I've seen a lot of classics this year like Goodfellas and Fight Club and I don't know why the hell I waited so long to check them out.

But yeah, I know the screen you're talking about. I found what it says on some site. "Warning: If you are reading this then this warning is for you. Every word you read of this useless fine print is another second off your life. Don't you have other things to do? Is your life so empty that you honestly can't think of a better way to spend these moments..."

This movie is so overrated. Decent, at best. Edward Norton is an amazing actor, though.

Note the Twin Towers collapsing at the end. I remember a lot of people made referrence to the movie after 9/11 because of the symbolic crashing of the Twin Towers.

I've watched this movie plenty of times, and I always pick up something new. Brilliant movie.

Whenever I see a movie like Fight Club, it really changes the way I think about life for at least a brief period of time. The line, "This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time" really got me thinking. You only have one life to live so why waste it? I couldn't stand having a boring cubicle job that I hated and just repeating the same horrible day over and over again until I retire and get old. There's no way I'm going to live my life like that.

EDIT: Shape, funny you mention that because I remember it was one of the movies that was banned around the time after the attacks. There's a scene when he is hoping his airplane crashes too and that's also pretty graphic. I thought it was weird seeing both of those things and having something very similar happen just two years later.

I completely agree with this philosophy. Especially when you're young and capable of getting around. Experience life by traveling around the world, learning about other cultures, tasting new foods, hearing a different language spoken, etc.

A lot of people have this misconception that traveling is expensive. It's really not if you are smart about it. The best way is to visit a friend or relative and stay with them so you don't have to spend money on hotels. Food doesn't cost anymore than it does in the US, and you spend money on it already so it's not any additional cost. There's also this new way to travel called house swapping. You stay at someone's place for a week and then they stay at your house for a week or whatever you agree upon. That's a cool and cost-friendly way to travel.

The only thing you have to save up for is the plane ticket, but if you book a flight early enough in the year, you can fly just about anywhere in the world for $700-$800 dollars at the high end.

You grow a lot as a person by travelling and you appreciate what you have a lot more. Especially if you travel to a third world country where you don't know when the electricity may or may not be on.

What's ironic is the 3rd world countries I've been to, the people are a lot more happy than some of the richer countries I've been to.

Great scene, Riot.

I remember Tyler flashed like 9x in the movie....anyone know what I'm talking about? Tyler was in that one scene with all the flight attendants dancing. As Norton was going up the escalator, Tyler flashed in the one going down.

I remember some other ones, but forgot most of them. Like shape said, I always pick up something every time I watch this movie.
