Everyday, about 37 people in the US are killed in drunk driving crashes.

That is one person killed every 39 minutes. In 2022, 13,524 were killed. Countless injured.

The answer is to require background checks everytime someone wants to buy a vehicle. To be eligible, many questions must be truthfully answered, or face a federal felony charge.

A question that must be answered no is.

Are you a user of, or addicted to alcohol, marijuana, or any stimulant, or narcotic drug?

This should save a lot of lives.
 
I can picture Timberlake getting pulled over drunk singing to "Bye Bye Bye" blasting over his sound system

Apparently, he is going to fight the charges.
