on NBATV they just asked "Better Backcourt: CJ/Dame vs. Beal/Wall" and Anthony, Steve and the crew said, they couldn't pick. Maaaaybe a slight edge for the Wiz b/c of size

I'd agree with that.

This was a great Game from nurkic Today. I give him Credit for TODAY

Too bad he's 33 and won't ever improve. I mean if 13 years in the league hasn't taught him anything nothing will.
I wrote it before, that i dont belive in this "he is young and have Upside" bullshit. You saw him playing without Lillard, and even before the Lillard injury he wasn't really Good!

Maaaannnn your post misses layups....

It's actually quite easy to guess whether he'll make or miss a shot. If he has a chance to see the rim before he starts his shooting motion, the guy must be around 70%. If he begins his motion without seeing the rim, it's going in around 25% of the time. It's why he's so good at rolling to the rim and so terrible as a post-up player. I can't remember a big with worse spatial awareness around the rim who wasn't just a defensive specialist.

He should abandon the hook shot entirely this year (maybe practice in the summer?).

If he's got a mismatch in the post, just keep the ball high/turn/shoot off glass like Tim Duncan always did. If that shot isn't available, pass it around because somebody is bound to be open.

I loved how he was passing out of the post last night against Cleveland's smaller team.

Guys who are 6’7 in his era could be anything. Unless people in here are at practice and in the facility nobody knows what’s going on.
But we do know that no big man has ever gotten demonstrably better under Tater Totts...

I liked Plumlee. I was sooo bummed when he got traded. And why ? Because he was no good ? NO, because he was good and was going to want more coin.

Well.... he's making $13.6 million per year and he's averaging 6.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.1 blocks. 14.9 PER.

I love the guy, but he's not worth that money. We saw the writing on the wall and dealt him for a young, up and coming center.

I am a Bit afraid that Nurkic might think he's a Superstar and won't resign for less than 20 Million per year. I can Imagine that he think so.

Based upon his play so far I'd say 12-15 mil per is all I'd want to pay. Have to consider the glus of C's in that league, the glus of offseason C's being UFA's, much less capspace available after 2 yr if bloated contracts, and a position that is not as important as it was previously in a "small ball" league.

So why is he making that much then. Are the Nuggets stupid businessmen ? They must see something about him they like. I think it has a lot to do with chemistry.

Or they re-signed him because they didn't want to have traded a pick and Nurkic for literally nothing.

I'm pretty sure they were bidding against themselves because I don't think he received another offer.

Well, you may be right. I wonder though about Nurks chemistry with the Blazers. Does anyone think the language barrier is a problem ? Or maybe he gets along better with the team than I hear from him during postgame interviews.
Sometimes I wonder if Nurk even understands the questions he gets from the press

I'm expecting Nurk would sign for around $17-$20M per year.

hes having GREAT realationship with Dame, its like bromance, he has great relationship with CJ too, so I believe its the same with the rest of the players

if you ask me, Nurk will get 4/85, from the Blazers or Blazers will match
I believe theres no way he gets less than 4/80

I'm optimistic that Davis will be a valuable asset to the Blazers team and should not be traded. Good stuff happens all around him when he's on the floor.
Leonard on the other hand should be dealt..... IMHO

eh? What are you talking about? Just cuz he has an accent doesn't mean he has a language barrier or poor chemistry. He loves his teammates and they clearly love him.

This is an asinine assertion. Nurk's answers in interviews are refreshingly candid and clearly he understands what's being asked. Better than the cliched drivel we get from half the domestic players around the league.

Press to Nurk: " So does playing with Lillard on the floor help you to establish your inside game easier ?
Nurk: " I think we play hard tonight cuz y'know we got to keep our heads above water. The 3rd quarter really got us to be trying harder than we were earlier in the game."

I didn't say he didn't have good chemistry ..... I asked if he did

Nuggets have given out a few questionable contracts to limited bigs over the past 5-7 years.
Hickson/Mcgee/Faried.
I might be missing one as well. I wouldn't call the Nuggets stupid, I would say they 'take care of their own at the sacrifice of winning'.
