Uhh yea, the Nets would crumble without him. You expect Carter to lead the team? Oh please, his leadership skills are nothing compared to Kidd. Kidd keeps the Nets going, so I really don't understand why Frank doesn't have him lead more.


And I always hear, how come you never blame Kidd when he has a bad game? Simply because Kidd brings 110% effort in <u>every </u>game. That's why I don't put so much heat on him when he is having a bad game. He has done so much for the Nets, so when he has that off-game, I simply think, do better next time J.

I agree that Kidd is the true leader of the team, but you can't just say Vince has no ability to be a leader. I remember before his pre-injury era he led the Raptors to the eastern conference finals. I know Kidd has led the Nets to the finals twice, but he had much more help than Carter has ever had. Plus the east was extremely weak. But I still give Kidd his props, but you can't just say that Carter can't lead a team. Injuries have just taken a whole lot out of him. Carter can't lead the Nets currently and nether could Kidd cause they won't go far without post play from a decent big man.

He didn't lead them. The veterans like Charles Oakley and Antonio Davis were the real leaders. Carter was just their best player and first option. There's a big difference, though.

Oh please don't give me that. The guy can practically get to the basket at anytime he wants. He just chooses not to and takes the easy way out. 40 footers are the best, especially when their not falling.

Stop being afraid of contact, especially considering the amount of money your making per season. What kind of superstar are you if your scared of some bumps and bruises?

If he was such a great leader then he wouldn't take jump shots when they aren't falling. As a leader you need to make the right decisions, and Carter has proven many times that he doesn't.

Kidd can lead any team farther than Carter has or ever will have. It's plain and simple.

You got a point there. His decision making isn't bad except for when he chooses jump shots rather than attacking the basket.

You can't say that yet. Carter still has years left in him. Anything can happen in the NBA. Jordan didn't get his first ring until he was 32.

Let's not compare Jordan and Carter. Seeing Carter play now really confuses me as to how he was ever considered the next Jordan.

Not to mention Jordan has always had that killer instinct, and Carter doesn't at all.

He did the same thing Mourning did, and yet they don't share similarities? I'm sure he wouldn't really mind doing it again. At what expense, some Nets fans hating him? So what, he gets millions of dollars and a ring.

Same here. I checked the 2001 NBA playoffs but they were only in the second round.

As good as Carter is, I just don't see him being a leader. For Carter, as long as he does his thing, nothing else matters. Carter doesn't have what it takes to be a leader. It's frustrating to see someone who has so much talent as him and not use it properly. Carter is still playing like a hot shot rookie trying to prove himself. I don't know if it's just me. But I've been quite skeptic of Carter's assists and rebound totals the past few games. It looks to me that he's trying too hard to get those stats. Again trying to prove something for the wrong reasons.

Nothing against Carter fans or Nets fans, but Carter is NOT a leader. He will never be a leader like Kidd is. Carter gave up on his team, i really don't see how he can lead a team. As for Jason Kidd leaving the Nets, i can see that hapening.
