If you want offensive rebounding out of a halfcourt play, you want Robin.

I forgot who said it, but someone here asked the question that if we'd traded for Kaman in 2013 and picked up RoLo as a FA this year, would Kaman be starting?

That was me. I'm glad things came together the way they did, with Lopez firmly cemented in as a starter.

Also, we're very fortunate that we're getting the Zach-Randolph-in-Memphis effect with Kaman. He's bounced around the league, had run-ins with coaches, fallen out of favor repeatedly, and he shows up here eager to just rehabilitate his career. He's a properly humbled guy who is happy to play a role in the team's success. We don't get this version of Kaman without Mike D'Antoni.

Giving more space for LA or Lillard to work would be one scenario. Kaman demands attention away from the basket more than Lopez does.

For those who say Kaman is a black hole....he wouldn't be if he played with the starters. More importantly is that Kaman is a very good passer for a big man. Granted Lopez is good at these things too. But Kaman is just a little bit better at scoring. I agree with the "if it ain't broke" theory on this, but it is worth testing down the road. More than likely it will happen if Robin is hurt or in foul trouble.

Kaman is a bit of a black hole on offense (but a really good black hole). He's best as the #1 option off the bench. If he plays regularly with the starters, I fear it would harm the free flowing pass-heavy option.

I completely disagree. He is very good at passing and running the offense through him with the 2nd unit is ideal.

I just have to say btw, that Terry has been completely on point so far this season. With rotations, sets, player development, interviews, etc. Just a totally different feeling having this competency in coaching.

Like Pinwheel1 said, it would be interesting to see how much Kaman's offensive capabilities open up the rest of the floor. Imagine Lillard being able to work off double high picks from Aldridge and Kaman, with either guy able to roll or pick-and-pop!

I'm not for changing the starting or closing lineup in general, but I'd love to see what that combo could do for a few minutes throughout the course of a game.
