Yeah, I don't think he is the true #1 that we need, but might be the best of whats actually available at this point....

The only way the Rangers get a #1 C is thru trade.....whatever is out
there, are not #1 Cs. Should be an interesting summer for Sather & Co.

I get the feeling that Sather isn't going to make many more changes to this team. They're gonna put a lot of eggs in the unproven rookies basket and hope they get lucky. I see a trade coming in December for a solid center then, including Staal and a few young guys as we will struggle for an offensive presence with Nash continuing to struggle and the team as a whole looking lost and sloppy both offensively and defensively. Hope I'm wrong though and we make a trade for a solid #1 center sooner though.

Heatley for a year at 1-1.5 would've been nice, maybe they go after Stempniak, but they'll probably miss out there too.

I would offer Hagelin/Miller/Fast/2016 1st and see if that works. If they had better C depth I'd say give up Stepan instead of Hagelin but they can't afford to.
