Maybe. But, if I recall I called them all assclowns. If you don't think that Swift is an assclown, you don't know much about big star performers. They don't get where they are without being (essentially) insanely driven. What you see from her is her stage persona - an act. You don't know what she is really like. She would be rare bird indeed if she was normal, sweet, balanced and unaffected. And, if she is sweet and normal - good for her. She better get out of the business now, because that won't last.

i'd say if anyone is taking the award shows too seriously, it would be kanye. he's the guy who ran on stage after an award was given out for best female video, took the mic from the 19 year old girl who just won her first award, and told her she didn't deserve it.

Why is that funny? Dude, I watch TV to be entertained. If I want news, I read the paper or the internet. TV news is crap. TV is for entertainment.

I said these shows are not serious, they are for entertainment purposes. Where is the disconnect? Don't some people watch WWF knowing it is staged? VMA doesn't entertain me with the "drama" of which amazing musical genius will take their rightful place in history with this important and carefully vetted award. They entertain with the jokes, costumes, performances, surprises, the pop culture parade, etc.
