You need to jump in on "systemic racism doesn't exist and America actually has a pretty good record when it comes to slavery?" I wouldn't really have expected that of you, to be honest.

Everyone wants to complain....but not so many want to do anything about it. I'm more about living my life that exemplifies love for my fellow man/woman, than marching streets, rioting, tearing down statues, or whatever. Hey, don't get me wrong, there are many who are protesting, while practicing peace. I'm ALL about that. The arguing back and forth about the issues solves nothing, though. I've already related plenty of times in here about some of the things I'm doing (and will be doing once things get opened up a bit more), so I have nothing to be ashamed of. Many in here label me a racist, which is THE most absurd thing I can think of. These days, arbitrarily calling someone else a racist has almost become some type of vogue remark, which, in and of itself, is a sad statement in its own right. Many on the left are their own worst enemies and would do well to find non-destructive means to work towards finding solutions. There are Blacks who will hate white folks no matter what happens. Some situations are beyond repair. I do understand that.

One scripture that comes to mind is:

Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

There's the obvious message here. One aspect not so obvious is that I may not be able to live at peace with everyone. Therefore, do so "as far as it depends one me" and be content in that understanding.

I'm not burying my head in the sand on this issue. Nor am I gonna shine up the battle apple. (with recognition to Steely Dan.)

he may not agree with many politically aNd has very hardlined stern stances of which some i don't agree with, but Maris does want good for all i do believe. Its just a difference of opinion on how to get there i suppose.

I don't think its fair to say anyone doesn't have a soul because their political ideologies don't line up with the norm. thats getting into religion, another touchy subject.

None of this has anything to do with "jumping in" on MARIS' and BINX's pretending that racism doesn't exist or that America was a good slaver nation, but if you want to co-sign on that, go ahead.

One good thing, when Trump gets his shellacking in here and some time passes by, no one is going to admit they ever voted for Trump.

A prediction, Trump is going to pardon his ass and those of his strongest supporters on his way out the back door. Why? Because it's either that or prison time.

I'm of the ilk that sometimes challenges the masses in here. MARIS and Binx do just that. I then went on to describe more in detail how I feel about the subject in question.

I'm personally agnostic. But I think most people have a feeling of some form of higher power, of which I equate as their God. In that respect, to me, we are all God's children. :) IF souls do exist, I believe we all have one.

I do beleive though that the Bible is the WarMonger.

BTW, when we hookin up for a smoke and debate? Got me a new pool table. ;)

that's a laugh

two white guys compromising on where the middle is on the issues of slavery and racism.

that's like the Republicans in congress. There are 252 of them and only two are black, and one of those is retiring. So when they decide their approach to the issues that impact black Americans heavily, how close to the "middle" do you think they reach?

maybe white Americans should shut the fuck up for a while and just listen
