And just what is the FBI going to investigate? All she can provide is an unsubstantiated claim that is 35 years old. No idea where it happened, can only remember a few people that can not provide any more proof. What do they do? Not like there is any prints, pictures etc that can be referenced

FBI has ways of finding out a lot of things such as for example Kavanaugh claiming he was a virgin through high school and most if not all of his college years. If the FBI turned up one person that debunked that claim then Kavanaugh's credibility is completely shot. Now him being or not being a virgin is no big deal but lying about it points to a persons credibility. That is just one of many examples that can be investigated because the selection of a Supreme Court Justice is to make sure the people put in position are credible.

That last 2 months her life have been chaos. Shes had to move twice. She has dealing with lawyers, the media, the sentate, etc. Anyone under that kind of stress would have a diffcult time remembering everything. Her mind probably hasn't processed the half of it.

Sure..but remember, she would get all of her past drug around as well. Hell, she did not want to say even who took her to the party..wonder what else there is to hide.....

...it does not matter in this case what she can remember "2 months ago"...only what she remembers about 36 years ago....but you already knew that, right?


...do you not believe men who years before as young boys were sodomized by priests...and who vividly recall who did it and only came forward years later?

yet she has called for an FBI investigation and Kavanaugh has not. Hmmmm?
 
Eye witness testimony is fallible. We all know that. But, that doesn't mean that she is mis-remembering or exaggerating a pretty vivid account of attempted sexual assault. Her description of the event is very specific. It is credible. I believe her. Maybe Kavanaugh doesn't remember the event because he was as drunk as a skunk. Or maybe he's lying. Or maybe it didn't happen. But, I find her composed, forthright, and believable. Maybe she doesn't remember all of the details, but if that is what people are going to be subjected to when they allege sexual assault then maybe ask yourself why people don't report it.

Her credibility is as stake here because thats all she has. And she has shown today that she is unsure, forgetful and unreliable.
 
lotta fear on here. Sounds like there are some guys on here who feel like their manhood is under attack.

Yes I do know that... but Dr. Ford and others who have had these experiences don't want to come forward so it doesn't surprise me there was "nothing" to find.

I don't know if you saw my post in the Bill Cosby thread but I mentioned a similar experience I had in junior high. I would bet my life savings that the boy and his friend don't remember it (and we were all sober). There were no repercussions for him because I didn't say anything. I spent the rest of 9th grade trying to avoid running into him and afraid I was going to get caught again when I wasn't with a large group of people and he'd finish the job. His name and face are seared into my memory because it was traumatic to me... it was just some bro fun to him.

I do understand. My wife had a similar experience when she was 13 and the boy lived in her area, was 16. Nothing was said, nothing was done about it. On the other hand, my niece was molested by her father, my wife found out and that sack of shit did six years being the shower pass around toy.

As you may believe, I am not such an ass that I have no compassion.

...I had a "bad experience" when I was 9 ...and to this day, I can still remember the name and the face of the guy that made me do it as well as the names and faces of the other 3 guys who stood around and laughed and egged him on...and trust me, that was a LOT longer than 36 years ago and I will NEVER forget it..
